Driven Support Services QLD
Individualised 1:1 community access, confidence building and practical support across South East Queensland - shaped around your goals, interests and preferred pace.
Self-managed & plan-managed NDIS participants
Current capacity
Driven Support is intentionally beginning with a small participant caseload. We are currently welcoming referrals and expressions of interest for suitable self-managed and plan-managed participants.
Support that starts with the person
Participants are not defined only by disability, diagnosis or funding category. Sometimes the difference is not more support. It is finding the right support.
Self-managed NDIS participants

Not sure if we're the right fit? Send through a referral or enquiry and we can discuss the participant's goals, interests, support needs and preferences before anything is committed.
What makes us different
People engage differently when they're doing something that matters to them.
Driven Support starts with the participant rather than a preset activity list.
Cars might be one person's interest. Someone else might prefer walking, photography, gaming, technology, cafés, sport or simply getting out of the house somewhere they feel comfortable.
The activity is the vehicle. The goal is greater confidence, participation, independence and connection.
Our Approach
Driven Support is launching with a deliberately limited participant capacity. That means direct communication, consistent support, time to understand each participant and the ability to properly plan activities rather than running a high-volume support model.
Familiar support and fewer unnecessary changes.
Participants, families and coordinators can communicate directly with Driven Support.
Activities are planned around actual participant goals and preferences.
We will only accept supports that we can safely and appropriately deliver.
Our services
Support to get out, participate and stay connected. This can include appointments, shopping, cafés, errands, community activities and everyday outings.
A practical, low-pressure activity combining basic car care with outdoor time, routine, conversation and community participation.
For participants with a genuine interest in cars and motorsport, supports can include Cars & Coffee events, motorsport spectator days, vehicle displays, workshops and other automotive experiences.
Activities are individually assessed for suitability, accessibility, sensory requirements and safety.
Build everyday confidence through real-world activities such as shopping, planning outings, budgeting practice, organisation and developing greater independence.
Support to build routines, try new activities, increase social confidence and become more comfortable participating in the community.
Examples
Pick up → vehicle wash or simple car-care activity → coffee → short walk/outdoor activity → return home
Pick up → shopping or errands → budgeting/planning activity → lunch or coffee → return home
Pick up → Cars & Coffee, motorsport event or automotive venue → planned breaks / quiet areas where required → meal or outdoor activity → return home
Every session is individualised. These are examples only.
Safety & Planning
For automotive, motorsport and outdoor activities, Driven Support considers the participant's individual needs alongside factors such as venue access, noise and sensory load, weather, crowds, transport, emergency exits, quiet spaces and alternative activities if plans change.
More complex or higher-risk activities are only considered where they fall within Driven Support's competency, insurance, participant consent and appropriate risk controls.

Why Driven Support exists
Driven Support was founded by Liam O'Connor after years of understanding firsthand how much responsibility, consistency and reliable support can matter within a family.
Growing up in Tasmania, Liam experienced family caring responsibilities from a young age while developing a strong passion for cars, motorsport, practical learning and community involvement.
After moving to Queensland and building a career around people, vehicles and relationship-focused work, Driven Support was created around a simple idea:
Good support should be reliable, individual and built around the person receiving it.

How support starts
There is no pressure to have every answer before the first conversation.
Share participant interests, goals, support needs, preferred activities, days and location.
Make a ReferralWe discuss interests, goals, support requirements, funding, transport, safety and service suitability.
Agree on activities, support structure, pickup arrangements, goals, frequency, pricing and participant-paid costs.
Begin with a simple, suitable outing or support session, such as Cars & Coffee, Garage Skills or Trackside Learning.
Review what worked, what was enjoyed, what should change and where to go next.
Driven Support is designed to evolve around the participant rather than locking people into a standard program.
Safe, planned & individualised
Every Driven Support session is planned around the individual participant.
Before activities, we consider sensory preferences, accessibility, transport, weather, venue conditions, crowd levels and the participant’s own support needs. Automotive and motorsport environments can sometimes involve noise, crowds or high levels of stimulation, so activities can be adapted, shortened or substituted with quieter alternatives where appropriate.
The goal is simple: create experiences that are enjoyable, meaningful and appropriate for the person being supported.
Noise, crowds, stimulation and individual sensory preferences are considered before suitable activities are selected.
Transport, accessibility, venue conditions and participant needs are considered before each activity.
Activities can be adjusted, shortened or changed if circumstances or participant needs change.
The participant remains at the centre of planning, with activities built around their interests, goals and comfort.
